Haleon – Circle K
Design
Haleon is a British consumer healthcare company and the largest consumer healthcare business in the world. Circle K is Ireland’s leading forecourt and convenience retailer with 410 sites on the island of Ireland.
The brief for Haleon was to create built-in shelving units which would display their range of over-the-counter healthcare products in Circle K’s forecourts and shops. Petrol station forecourts are not only busy places, they are often spaces which are limited in terms of space and the potential for display cabinets. Regular convenience stores in urban locations often have limited space and the maximisation of that space it vital.
Manufacture
We designed and manufactured the display cabinets in our Dublin factory. They are fashioned out of steel with glass shelves to illuminate the colourful product lines. Lights were inset above each shelf and at the top of the shelving unit there was space for branding, which was also illuminated.
From a design perspective, as the display units would be built-in, their dimensions had to be exact with zero room for error. The shelves can be easily removed to create different heights while a plastic strip hangs neatly from each shelf in order to add product details such as pricing.
Final Result
Our shelving units sit beautifully beneath the natural wood finish that Circle K employ in their stores. The shelves can neatly stock individual healthcare products or product trays which makes restocking the units quick and easy.
Being illuminated makes the bright product offerings stand out alongside the other display units in Circle K. This draws attention to the popular and well-known brands on display which will encourage the purchase of such products and markets them nicely for future consumption. Healthcare products are rarely presented in such a contemporary fashion and highlighted in a way which will ensure the maximum spend of such items.
